ABOUT
Ever since I was young I have always had a love for art. Whether it was drawing or painting, art allowed me to express myself through my own work. Being able to bring my style to life is what kept me creating throughout the years.
As I got older, I grew a strong connection with the beauty of hair. I realized that hair was a form of art in its own unique way. Soon enough, curling irons and scissors replaced my paintbrushes and pencils and hair was my new canvas. I channeled my artistic and creative abilities towards the beauty of hair and fell in love with the fact that I was able to create and express myself through my own hairstyle. I then realized that becoming a hairstylist meant I could express these creative styles for not only myself but other people as well.
Once I graduated high school I went to cosmetology school at Paul Mitchell to pursue my dream of becoming a hairstylist. Cosmetology school taught me everything about beauty including hair and makeup which helped me grow as an individual in many ways. The new skills and techniques I learned throughout the process guided me towards hair outside of school. I found myself an Assistant job at a hair salon in Huntington Village and after I passed my Cosmetology test I was given my own chair. Three years later I moved my way to Brooklyn to enjoy hair in the city however, something about Long Island drew me back towards home which is where I happily stand now doing hair.
I love transforming my clients and giving them the hair they thought they never could have had. Seeing my client’s reactions once they look in the mirror and see their before and after pictures is priceless and is one of my favorite parts of the whole process. Doing hair allows me to create something beautiful in my own unique way while making my clients look and feel amazing. I am forever grateful to have discovered this form of art and I appreciate every single person that allows me to create something unique for them.
